MANHATTAN — Call the fashion police.

A man decked out in a patterned shawl and his stylish female accomplice stole $58,900 worth of clothing from three high-end boutiques on the Upper East Side, police said.

The fashion-forward duo first walked into Five Story at 18 E. 69th St., near Madison Avenue, about 1:50 p.m. on Oct. 26, according to the NYPD. The woman took $15,400 worth of clothing into a changing room and then carried the haul out of the store without paying, police said.

In video of the heist, the man, who wore a black skull cap and was draped in a gray patterned shawl, asked a staffer a question while the woman, wearing a bright scarf, heels, a leather jacket and a hat, looked on.

They then stole $10,500 in merchandise from Intermix at 1003 Madison Ave. at about 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 5, and another $33,000 from Roberto Cavalli, at 711 Madison Ave., at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

All of the stores offer high-end products. At Roberto Cavalli, a dress was selling online for $12,335 until it was discounted by 50 percent.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
