Classic rock star John Mellencamp will perform at the Forest Hills Stadium this summer, the organizers said.
The musician will play in Queens on July 11 as part of his Sad Clowns & Hillbillies Tour with special guests including 13-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris, as well as country singer Carlene Carter and folk-pop sister duo Lily & Madeleine.
Mellencamp's new album “Sad Clowns & Hillbillies” is set for release on April 21, followed by the tour which kicks off on June 5 in Denver, Colorado, and concludes in Essex Junction, Vermont, on Sept. 1.
This year's concert season at the Forest Hills Stadium will also feature The xx on May 19 and 20, The Chainsmokers on June 9 and 10 and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers on July 26 and 27, as well as Jack Johnson on June 14, Sigur Rós on June 17, Dispatch on July 6 and My Morning Jacket featuring special guest Gary Clark Jr. on July 15.
Tickets for Mellencamp's concert will range from $60.50 to $145.50. They will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. and will be available for purchase here.
